Dr. Robbins attended Purdue University for his undergraduate studies before departing for Indiana University School of Dentistry. After obtaining his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1985, he completed his 2 year specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Indiana University School of Dentistry and Riley Children's Hospital in 1987. His training also included a minor in child psychology. Following his certification in Pediatric Dentistry, Dr Robbins earned a master degree in Pediatric Dentistry in 1988 and was awarded the Ralph McDonald Research Award. He is a member and past president of the Indiana Society of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and the North Central Indiana Dental Association.
In addition to his practice, Dr Robbins has served as the Director of Dental Services for the Healthy Beginnings Dental Clinic in Elkhart since 1993. This is a community-based non-for-profit dental clinic that serves the needs of children from lower income families. In addition to the directorship, Dr. Robbins volunteers one day per month restoring the teeth of younger children in the clinic. He is blessed to have a great supervisor for the clinic and a hard working staff. Dr Robbins was recently honored for his work with the clinic by the Indiana Dental Association and the Indiana Public Health Association.
Dr. Robbins has a wonderful wife, Pat and two adult children, Christopher and Megan. When not at the office, Dr. Robbins enjoys spending time with his wife and family. He loves to participate in his church choir where he is on a praise team, quartet and does solo work. Traveling, reading, biking, and being outdoors are some of Dr. Robbins' hobbies, as well as spending time with friends.
Dr. Robbins is proud of his excellent staff, many of whom have been a part of the practice for many years. Each member brings a special skill and caring to her job. They work hard each day to provide great dental health for the children of our community in a fun environment.
Brenda graduated from Indiana University South Bend as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 1994. She was president of her class and received the Procter and Gamble Preventive Dentistry Award for excellence in dental hygiene education and care. She joined our practice soon after graduation and has been an integral part of our patients' care. Brenda loves working with
children and has the goal of educating her patients in proper oral care and inspiring them to achieve it. With an expansive knowledge of children's dentistry, Brenda works well with all age groups, as well as special needs children. In her free time, Brenda loves spending
time with her husband Mark, her 3 children, her many grandchildren, family and friends. She also enjoys traveling, shopping and all sports, with an emphasis on the Bears, Cubs, Bulls and of course I.U. basketball.
Lynn joined our practice in 1998, after graduating from Indiana University South Bend with a degree as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She works part time, while balancing her other duties as a wife, mother, and volunteering in the community. Her favorite part of her job is taking time with each small child and making them feel at ease so they will always look forward to coming back to our office. Lynn enjoys spending time with her husband, Brad, and her three children. She participates in workouts, running and volunteering in her children’s school.
Lauren graduated from Indiana University in Fort Wayne in 2008 with an Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene and earned her Local Anesthesia for Dental Hygienists Certification in 2019. She has been practicing in the Michiana area for over 14 years. Lauren is married and has two Wire Hair Fox Terriers. In her spare time she loves to travel and keeps busy with the Elkhart/Goshen
Dental Hygienists’ Association, serving as President for 2021-2022 and 2022-2023.
Sharon is our Office Manager and has been a member of our team since 2005. Before working here,Sharon has had many years of experience working in the health care field in customer service. Sharon brings to the office a knowledge of IT and computer networking, and handles all of the billing and insurance claims for the office. She will work with you to coordinate your dental insurance benefits. When not working, Sharon enjoys reading, a variety of craft projects, and spoiling her grandchildren.
Sue was Dr. Robbins’ first employee. She started as a chairside assistant for his predecessor and then moved to the front desk. She has a vast knowledge of pediatric dentistry that comes with experience. Sue works hard to assist patients and parents with their dental scheduling needs. In her spare time, Sue enjoys spending time with her family and friends and grandchildren and she loves to travel when she can.
Brittnie has been in the dental field for 5 years. She enjoys teaching children about oral hygiene. She is a dedicated God-Mother and in her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Nicole is an E.F.D.A. and graduated from Indiana University South Bend in 1993. She loves spending time with friends and family and loves the outdoors. Nicole
also loves lake kayaking, boating and fishing. In her free time she enjoys painting and making candles.
Evelyna (Evie) started on the job training as a dental assistant in 2020 during the pandemic. She is a dental assistant and sterilizer tech. In her free time she
enjoys being out in nature with family and friends or just with her dogs. She enjoys her fun and sweet interactions with our patients.
